Clinics, Classes and Seminars

Another Foundation Clinic with Michael Gonzalez is scheduled for 2008, either May or June. More information to come!

See pictures from our October clinic here. Video clips from the clinic are here, here and here.

Our Camps, Clinics & Accelerated Lessons are designed to get hands-on basics to safely be in the presence of horses. We teach students from a Natural Horsemanship point of view that “less is more”, challenging them to become a partner with the horse by being with the horses in some manner for the entire time they’re at the farm.
Our program is about
LEARNING TO BE WITH THE HORSES

Level 1-A
The topics include:
  • Ground safety & handling skills from the pasture to the arena: haltering & leading around, over, under, onto and into obstacles
  • Grooming and bathing: most efficient tools and the correct usage, bonding with the animal, all while being safe
  • Saddling & Bridling the horse: easy skills for all size riders
  • Body mechanics of Mounting & Dismounting: making it easy no matter what size horse you have
  • Rider balance & Feel of the horse: on-line & off –line exercises to accelerate riding skills
  • Feeding of the farm animals & herd dynamics: horses, chickens & cows; they can see how different “cultures” of animals socialize

  • 2:1 student to instructor ratio to maximize learning
Please wear long pants and boots. Riding helmets provided.
Bring your own lunch. We provide the drinks!
    Age categories: 7-9 ~ 10-12 ~ 13-17 ~ adult
